According to officials records a total of 40 runners out of 44 who registered started the above mentioned semi marathon that took place Sunday 22^nd September, 2024, starting 6:30am, Anse Royale/Anse Baleine.

There were 19 female runners and 25 male runners for the different categories.

The 21K, semi marathon organizing committee are vails of this opportunity to thank all of many partners, including the runners and the motorists who in one way or another contributed to the successful organization of the 21K, semi marathon, and the previous races.

51 Runners started the 3^rd Edition of the 5K and 10K Road Race Series for 2024

According to official records a total of 51 runners out of 73 who registered started the above mentioned race that took place Saturday 24^th August, 2024, starting at 3pm.

For the 10K Race, there were 7 female runners and 20 male runners for different categories

For the 5K Race, there were 8 female runners and 23 male runners for the different categories

The Road Race organizing committee are vails of this opportunity to thank all the many partners including the runners and the motorists who in one way or another contributed to the successful organization of the 3^rd Edition of the 5K / 10K Road Race Series and the two previous Races.

Note: The final Road Race on the Federation Calendar for the year is the 21K which will be held on the Sunday 22^nd September,2024. Starting at Anse Royale and ending at ‘Stad Popiler’

SPRINTER GAEL BARREAU PERFORMS WELL BELOW HIS PERSONAL BEST AT THE WORLD JUNIOR ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIP IN PERU, LIMA

Sprinter Gael Barreau clocked 11.49secs for the 100M-on Tuesday 27^th August at the World Junior Athletics Championship, Lima, Peru

This performance is well below his personal best of 10.89secs, clocked recently at the Pepsi Junior Athletics Championship in Mauritius (held early July this year)

The sprinter and his coach (Joseph Adem) is scheduled to return to Seychelles on Tuesday 3^rd September, 2024.

TWO KIDS ATHLETICS SCHOOL COMPETITION ORGANISED IN THE MONTH OF JULY

On the 20^th July, the Kids Athletics Committee organized kids athletics competition at the Takamaka Primary School. 3 primary schools

participated in this school competition. The competitions were for the following age category’s: 6-8 year, 9-10 year, 11-12 year.

The competition attracted a good number of parents and spectators

On the 27 ^th July, the Kids Athletics Committee organized kids athletics competition at the Grand Anse Primary School. 2 primary

schools participated in this school competition. The competitions were for the following age category’s: 6-8 year, 9-10 year, 11-12 year.

As for Takamaka, the competition attracted a good number of parents and spectators.

4 of them were under 18 years old.

8 athletes have participated in the Exchange Inter Ile competition in Reunion from 25^th to 26^th May 2024. The team return on Monday 27^th May 2024.

ATHLETE DYLAN SICOBO – Finished First in a competition in France

Seychellois Sprinter Dylan Sicobo who is based at (Le Centre de Developpement de l’Athletisme, Africain de DAKAR),

since December 2023, clocked 10.48seconds in an International Competition in France on the 25^th May 2024.

This performance was good enough for a first place finished.
